It’s the quickest way to ship items, but it’s also the most expensive. My parents considered using air freight for some of our things, but it was too costly. Air freight is usually for smaller, high-value items that are time-sensitive, like electronics or perishable goods. It’s cool to think about how our gadgets might have flown through the sky to get to us!
3. Ocean Freight
   Ocean freight involves sending cargo across the sea using huge ships. This type of shipping is perfect for really big or heavy shipments, like cars, furniture, or even entire containers full of products. When we moved, our car and some other things were shipped by ocean freight. It took a while to arrive, but it’s much cheaper than air freight for large items. Ocean freight is the best choice if you have a lot of things to send and you’re not in a rush to get them.
4. Intermodal Freight
   Intermodal freight is like a mix of all the other types of shipping. It means using a combination of trucks, trains, ships, and sometimes airplanes to move cargo from one place to another. This type of shipping is great because it takes advantage of the best parts of each method. For example, cargo might start on a truck, then be loaded onto a train, and finally onto a ship to cross the ocean. Intermodal freight is efficient and can save money, especially for really long-distance shipments.

Our Experience with Different Freight Types
When we moved, we ended up using a combination of ground and ocean freight. Our things traveled by truck to the port, then by ship across the ocean, and finally by truck again to reach our new home. It was exciting to track our shipment and see where our stuff was at different stages of the journey. Even though it took a bit of time, everything arrived safely, and we learned a lot about how different types of freight work.
