Son Heung-min's fan club "Wonkle Good Deeds" donates '7.77 million won'

Son Heung-min's fan club donates to a facility for single mothers in Chuncheon

In honor of Son Heung-min's (Tottenham) 200th goal in European leagues, a fan club donated money to a welfare center for single mothers in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. The amount of the donation is said to be '7 million 777,000 won', which is the number 7 of Son's back number.

"The donation was made by the fan club '2030 Women Supporting Son Heung-min'," an official from the single-mother family welfare facility 'Maria's House' said in a phone call with News on the 17th.

Maria's House is located in Son Heung-min's hometown of Chuncheon, and the donation will be used to support single mothers' childbirth and medical expenses.

The fan club donated to the SON Soccer Academy in April to commemorate Son's 100 goals and 50 assists in the Premier League, and also donated to Anseong Girls' FC in July for Son's birthday.

Meanwhile, Son Heung-min made an appearance in the A match between the South Korean national soccer team and Tunisia, led by Jürgen Klinsmann, on July 13. Son, who was left out of the starting lineup to recover, watched the game from the bench and greeted the fans after the 4-0 victory.

It will be interesting to see if Son Heung-min will be in the squad for the A match against Vietnam on Sunday at 8 p.m. at Suwon World Cup Stadium. 스포츠토토링크
