Streetwear, a common term that has been in for a few years, is often thrown around without much thought. With a general understanding of clothing trends, one may define many genres of fashion. It has now become easier to separate bespoke from fast fashion, formal wear from leisure wear, and luxury from the high street. And with that in mind, some brands are excelling in creating high standards for streetwear trends by creating and promoting top-selling collections which are not only according to the demands of the new generation but also timelessly rule-breaking.  TEAM WANG design was founded by Jackson Wang, the brand's creative director and designer, and Henry Cheung, co-founder, and CEO of Shanghai, China, as a luxury streetwear label. It was launched to introduce a minimalistic fashion, lifestyle essentials, and product collection. The infamous brand has divided its vast variety of fashion trends and lifestyle products collection into categories: COOKIES, SPARKLES, and THE ORIGINAL 1. TEAM WANG design has an exclusive trademark design of “Eyelets” with each apparel piece. The brand’s latest collection was launched in 2023, namely original 1. One of the three collections - COOKIES - was named after their philosophy: “Fashion is just like a snack, so we call it Cookies.” It was established in TEAM WANG Pop-up & Concept Stores, which is not only TEAM WANG’s first pop-up store but also an artistic space for the brand to present its concepts and ideas. The store was located in Kerry Center, Shanghai, China. TEAM WANG design confers more than imagination and significance within a brand; it deliberates a vision.

In 2021, TEAM WANG COOKIES – The Velvet formally launched in the Me Vs. Me Concept Space in TX Huaihai Youth Energy, Shanghai, China. On September 26, 2021, TEAM WANG COOKIES – Standard launched in TEAM WANG Standard Concept Space in Mixc World - Water Plaza, Shenzhen, China. The most recent Cookies collection was launched on December 24, 2022, named TEAM WANG design Cookies - Be Balloon. This collection was inspired by balloons and a delicately designed concept space at Taikoo Li Qiantan in Shanghai, China.  TEAM WANG design introduced its glittering collection with “SPARKLES” This collection launched with collaborations and partnerships with multiple top-tier brands.

TEAM WANG was launched as a label name, including music, fashion, production, etc. However, TEAM WANG design became a part of the label later. In order to let customers recognize this after the WANT WANT collaboration, the brand always puts “TEAM WANG design” instead of “TEAM WANG.” TEAM WANG incorporated the name TEAM WANG design as it is a part of TEAM WANG. TEAM WANG design deals with collaboration with other leading brands around the globe.

 

On July 23, 2019, TEAM WANG design launched its first sparkle collection with Fendi, named Fendi X TEAM WANG. In the same month, in 2019, it collaborated with Ray-Ban and launched its Ray Ban X TEAM WANG collection.  After a year, on July 18, 2020, Jackson Wang and Henry Cheung presented the Black Mirror, the limited-edition product in the collection of TEAM WANG Sparkles. Black is the symbolic color of TEAM WANG design. Through the Black Mirror, TEAM WANG hopes everyone can look through themselves and into their ego at a deeper level to communicate with the inner self and examine the heart. In 2020, TEAM WANG design teamed up with the world’s leading fashion marketplace, StockX, and launched a collaboration, namely TEAM WANG X StockX, the capsule collection selected to reinterpret the four most iconic TEAM WANG pieces, a T-shirt, vest, jacket, and track pants. Later, in September 2020, to pay tribute to Paris and commemorate the first appearance of Impression Sunrise in Shanghai, TEAM WANG presented TEAM WANG X MONET, its third capsule collection TEAM WANG X Monet Concept Space opened in The Bund of Shanghai, China.

On July 22, 2021, TEAM WANG design’s creative director & designer Jackson Wang, with Palm Angles’s creative director - Francesco Ragazzi, launched an 8-piece capsule collection entirely in black, consisting of the critical silhouettes from Palm Angels, including a track jacket and pants set, souvenir jacket, sweatshirt, bowling shirt, long sleeve tee, short sleeve tee, and cropped tee for women. TEAM WANG design and Beats teamed up to release a new collaboration, “Love Beats” Studio3 Wireless Headphones, on February 14, 2022, Valentine’s Day. The headband of Love Beats Studio3 Wireless is specially etched with the iconic “TEAM WANG” logo highlighting the exclusive collaboration.

TEAM WANG design released Sparkles - Knock Knock on October 20, 2022. Following the previous Sparkles - The Cart, the brand launched another lifestyle home art collection. Like The Cart, Knock Knock to Sparkles symbolizes the continuation of the brand’s pursuit of freedom and unlimited imagination. The sleek black design is integrated into the mischievous and humorous spirit of Halloween, and by "invading" the furnishings with a playful and funny style, pumpkie and spookie introduce a whole new addition to the home collection: a dark, mysterious aesthetic that brings a tint of Halloween to your autumn home.

TEAM WANG design has an esteemed list of streetwear and is rapidly making a name for itself in the global streetwear market.  The brand has made a significant impact on the young generation as a symbol of pop dominance. This impact is majorly due to the demonstration of apparel design and clothing adopted by some big names in the music industry, such as Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and Beyoncé – signifying the influence of streetwear styles. With their newly added collections on a frequent basis, TEAM WANG design has been able to reflect the preservation of cultural values.
