Klinsmann prepares for Singapore with full strength, 'recovery chilly weather' variables

Members of the South Korean national soccer team, including Son Heung-min, train at Mokdong Stadium in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

The Klinsmanns will play Singapore at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Nov. 16 and China at the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Center on Nov. 21.

'Klinsmann' sets sail in full force for the 2026 North and Central American World Cup. With top-notch members such as Son Heung-min (Tottenham), Kim Min-jae (Bayern Munich), and Lee Kang-in (Paris Saint-Germain) all on board, the key factors will be the fitness of the main players and the chilly weather.

South Korea, led by Jürgen Klinsmann (GER), will take on Singapore at 8 p.m. on Saturday at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in the first match of Group C of the North American Football Confederation's second Asian qualifying round. After the home game, the team will travel to Shenzhen, China, for the second leg on Sept. 21.

South Korea will compete against Singapore, China and Thailand in Group C, with the top two teams advancing to the third round of qualifying.

South Korea national soccer team head coach Jürgen Klinsmann and Hwang In-beom talk during a training session ahead of the second Asian qualifier for the 2026 FIFA World Cup North America at Mokdong Stadium in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, South Korea, Wednesday afternoon. Korea will play Singapore at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Nov. 16 and China at the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Center on Nov. 21.

Despite the relatively easy grouping, Klinsmann is wary of letting his guard down. "Even Bayern Munich (Germany) lost to a third division team, that's soccer. We'll take it seriously."

The Taeguk Warriors are confident of victory, but there is a catch. The team's recent run of form has left key players like Kim Min-jae and Son Heung-min out of shape.

In fact, the team held its first training session at the Mokdong Sports Complex on the 13th and only 11 of the 23 players, including Son Heung-min and Hwang Hee-chan (Wolverhampton), were on the field.

In addition to overseas players like Lee Kang-in and Kim Min-jae, Kim Young-kwon, Seol Young-woo, and Cho Hyun-woo (Ulsan Hyundai), and Kim Jin-soo and Moon Sun-min (Jeonbuk Hyundai), who played a hectic schedule in the Asian Football Confederation Champions League (ACL) and the Korean Football League (K League), focused on recovery at home.

Kim Min-jae, in particular, is showing signs of fatigue after playing full-time for 10 consecutive matches due to a string of injuries to his fellow defenders. Kim Min-jae, who is Klinsmann's go-to defender, is expected to recover and improve his condition for the time being. 카지노사이트존
